FIFA 23 Ultimate Team: How to tell if you've got a walkout

Here we have how you can spot if you’ve got a walkout in your FIFA 23 Ultimate Team pack.

One thing that has changed throughout the years in FUT is the pack animation. We had simpler times way back in FIFA 12 where the name used to shine in the sky, to the more recent complex pack processes which depict the badge, nationality and rating one by one – which makes it ever the more exciting when you pack a high calibre name such as  Kylian MbappeCristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

But one thing that’s remained a constant as late in regard to pack animations is there has always been some sort of ‘tell’ as to whether you’ve obtained a walkout in FIFA Ultimate Team.

So what is the ‘tell’ in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team? We’ve got you covered. Here’s how to spot if you’re getting a walkout in FIFA 23.

A walkout in FIFA is essentially a high-value player who will ‘walk out’ when you’ve opened your pack.

Walkouts for base cards are rated 86+, however for special cards they walk out at 84+.

When you pack a walkout, you have to watch out for the spotlights once again just like in FIFA 22. They start to glow and move when a walkout is apparent, combined with the fact the lights in the background and on the surrounding walls are completely different, with the background appearing much darker than usual.

So essentially look for the following things.

There is also a suggestion that the camera movement at the beginning has an effect on whether you’re receiving a walkout. If it pans from the left, you’ve got higher chances of an 86+ player – however, this isn’t 100% fool-proof, as some of the walkout animations in FIFA 23 also
