FIFA 23: Huge leak reveals World Cup mode on PS5

FIFA 23 is out worldwide and we know for a fact that there is going to be a World Cup mode coming to the game, and a new leak has given us a sneak peek of the menu on PS5.

EA Sports announced as much in the build-up to the worldwide release of the game; there will be a mode that coincides with this year’s men’s World Cup, and one that coincides with next year’s women’s tournament.

It is not the first time that EA Sports have added a World Cup mode into the game, doing the same in 2018 for the tournament in Russia.

That mode was an add-on to the game, instead of being a fully-fledged release on its own.

And the 2022 World Cup will receive similar treatment, but it has now leaked, with several players finding themselves able to access the menus for the game.

A full article on MoreFUT.com, as posted by FUT Sheriff on Twitter, shows all the steps that need to be followed to access the mode, and they also have a selection of screenshots.

You simply need to follow these steps:

There are a wide variety of leaked images, too, but it shows that the World Cup mode clearly isn’t quite finished, as certain badges are absent, as are kits and squad details for some teams.

You can see the groups that have been drawn in real life, as well as the tournament layout after the group stages.

The imagery has a red and green background mostly, in line with the colour scheme of the Qatar tournament.

We can expect the World Cup mode to go live in November prior to the tournament’s start.

The first game of the competition is on November 20th, when hosts Qatar play Ecuador. The first full day is November 21st, as England play Iran, Senegal play the Netherlands, and the USA face Wales.
