‘FG determined to unravel cause of Lawal’s death in Uganda’

The Federal Government has started moves to unravel the circumstances leading to death of Uganda-based Nigerian player, Abubakar Lawal, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi, has said.

Lawal, a former the Nigerian U-20 team, Flying Eagles, dies in Uganda on Monday under mysterious circumstances.

“The circumstances surrounding the player’s passing remain steeped in mystery, but we are committed to doing the little we can to shed light on it and help the Federal Government in its quest for truth.”
