Fantasy Premier League: Ben Foster reveals his FPL squad for 22/23 season

Ben Foster, aka The Cycling GK, is currently without a club after leaving Watford at the conclusion of the 2022 season, but he’s keeping busy on his YouTube channel.

The Premier League finally starts again this week, with Fantasy Football managers dusting off their virtual suits or tracksuits for another season of battle with their friends.

Cycling GK Ben Foster has picked his team ahead of the new season and has shared it with his subscribers on YouTube, with the gameweek one deadline on the horizon.

Goalkeepers:

Edouard Mendy – £5m

Fraser Forster – £4m

Goalkeepers are often a standard selection in Fantasy Football, with every player going for a regular starter and a cheap back-up with the number one for managers not wanting to waste a free transfer on a ‘keeper.

Picking Mendy from Chelsea who will be a top four contender is a safe bet for his number one, with the shot-stopper likely to bag plenty of points.

Defenders:

Sven Botman – £4.5m

Marc Cucurella – £5m

Marcos Alonso – £5.5m

Lisandro Martinez – £4.5m

Oleksandr Zinchenko – £5m

The decision to go for Marc Cucurella could be a genius move from him, especially if he makes the switch to Chelsea before the window shuts, although with all the speculation around his future, he may not be included in the Brighton squad.

Midfielders:

Allan Saint-Maximin – £6.5m

Mohamed Salah – £13m

Rodri – £6m

Pedro Neto – £5.5m

Andreas Pereira – £4.5m

Foster has selected some big hitters in his midfield, including
