'Fantastic talent' - Bolton boss on threat ex-Blackpool team-mate & Sheffield Wednesday pose

Ian Evatt believes former Blackpool team-mate Barry Bannan will pose a 'huge threat' against Bolton Wanderers this weekend for Sheffield Wednesday but is one of many the Whites will have to cope with.

Wanderers host the Owls at the University of Bolton Stadium and are seeking three points at home for the first time since beating Lincoln City 3-1.

Bolton have five games of their campaign left to go and are seeking to finish as high up the League One table as possible since the midweek draw versus Portsmouth realistically put an end to their play-offs aspirations.

Darren Moore's side meanwhile are in the top six as things stand and will be seeking to solidify their place with a positive result this weekend.

Likely to be central to the Owls this weekend is former Wanderers loanee Bannan.

The midfielder had a spell at Bolton on loan from Crystal Palace in the second half of the 2014/15 campaign, making 16 appearances and notching three assists in that time.

Bannan - named as League One player of the month for March - has been at Hillsborough since the summer of 2015 and has racked up more than 300 appearances and 21 goals for the Owls in that time, becoming a first team regular at Hillsborough.

Bannan played alongside Evatt at Blackpool during a loan spell from Aston Villa in the 2009/10 season in the Championship and the Bolton boss believes the midfielder is a 'fantastic talent' and will be a 'huge threat' against Wanderers this weekend.

But he is not the only one and Evatt has warned his side will have to cope with multiple threats when the Owls visit the University of Bolton Stadium.
