Fans point out problem with Real Housewives star Tanya Bardsley's new perfume as she's forced to explain

Tanya Bardsley was thrilled as she announced her latest venture eight months after quitting the Real Housewives of Cheshire. The reality star, who left the ITVBe show after six years, took to Instagram on Wednesday (August 10) to share the big reveal - but it wasn't all as it seems.

She confirmed that she was set to released her very own fragrance alongside a bunch of glamourous snaps. Tanya, 41, looked flawless in the images as she donned a black dress and pearls with her blonde locks styled into waves and flipped over to one side of her face.

" Can finally tell you that our special shoot was for my brand new fragrance," she penned alongside the post before revealing the very bizarre name choice - Chien. She added: "So excited for you to smell it, it smells like a dream."

And fans were quick to comment and point out an issue with the choice of name, pointing out that Chien is French for 'dog'. @ambassador_alexa commented: "That’s 'Dog' in French… I’m sure it smells fabulous, as you are fabulous but that’s an odd name for a perfume." @helen_jaa01 echoed: "Congratulations !! The names a bit [grimicing face emoji] but am sure it’ll smell amazing!"

@misshitch1 asked: "So confused by the name - am I missing something here?" @_marie.watson_ said: "Why the name 'Dog' for a perfume, could of come up with something better?" @langtreecottage wrote: "Bit confused by the name, meaning dog in French????" @belindaheaney added: "AAAGGHH NO CHEIN IS DOG IN FRENCH....I was so excited for you Tanya then seen comments...was so hoping they were mistaken."
