Fan Travels From Chile To Watch Ben Brereton Diaz To Find He's Injured And Then Game Is Cancelled

Fans from Chile travelled all the way to Blackburn to see Ben Brereton Diaz, only to find out he was injured and then the game was called off any way!

However, last Wednesday, the Blackburn Rovers striker limped out of the 0-0 draw with West Brom, after twisting his ankle, and leaving him out for a period of time.

Clearly Chile fan Jhovan Kesternich wouldn't have known this ahead of time, as he travelled 7,414 miles from Santiago to Lancashire to watch Rovers face Millwall, only Brereton Diaz, the reason for his trip, wasn't going to be playing.

The player heard of the fans plight and sent him a message on Twitter, saying he hoped to see Kesternich at Ewood Park at least.

However, Jhovan didn't even get to see any football at Ewood Park on Saturday, as their game with Millwall ended up being called off due to adverse weather.

Blackburn's game was the only game in the second tier called off on Saturday, but there were others in League One and League Two.

It's not the first time this season someone has travelled a long way to watch a game in Lancashire, only for weather conditions to have the match called off.
