Family favourites and half-term escapes for everyone this October at Vue
The perfect way to spend time with the kids and grandkids this October school break, Vue is bringing a fantastic mix of brand-new blockbusters and musical moments to the big screen, offering something fun for all of the family.
Film fans and music lovers of any age can enjoy a tuneful tale in new musical comedy Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. Based on the best-selling book of the same name, the film stars Constance Wu and Javier Bardem alongside pop star Shawn Mendes, and taking on the role of the titular singing crocodile who loves nothing more than baths, caviar and great music.
For the older kids, DC’s Black Adam bolts onto the big screen, introducing one of comic book’s biggest anti-heroes to the mainstream. Starring Dwayne Johnson in their first epic superhero role, Black Adam, bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods, is freed from his earthly prison and ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world. For comic book lovers, this release can’t be missed.
Childhood classic and award-winning musical Roald Dahl’s Matilda will also be heading to Vue on November 25, offering a brand-new take on the hugely popular story. Following the story of the little girl with big curiosity and vivid imagination, Matilda brings all the charm and wonder from the stage to the brilliance of the big screen.
Other big screen events, tailor made for family fun, heading to Vue over the half-term include screenings of storybook classics, Room on the Broom & The Highway Rat and Pip and Posy. So, whatever their age, they’ll be something on for youngsters to enjoy.
