The TV lineup for the FA Cup quarter finals have now been confirmed, with BBC and ITV given an equal split of the four fixtures.

Manchester City remain the favourites to lift the competition and their tie at Southampton will take place on Sunday March 20, kicking off at 3pm live on BBC.

Middlesbrough continue their heroic cup run, which has already seen off Manchester United and Tottenham, with a clash against European and World champions Chelsea at the Riverside Stadium.

“It’s the home draw we were all after,” Boro boss Chris Wilder said. “I think when you go deep into the competition, it is what it is.

“I’m sure we’ll all have had our little ideas on who we would like to have played, but I think the majority of the Boro supporters would have wanted a home draw.

“To have 30-odd thousand of our supporters watching that game again is going to be great. I’m sure there’ll be a huge clamour for tickets.

“They’re the World champions and the Champions League holders, so to have them at home in the FA Cup in the middle of March is brilliant.”
