F1 LIVE: Miami Grand Prix grid and build-up as celebrities arrive at race and Charles Leclerc starts on pole

LIVE – Updated at 19:32

Follow live build-up to the inaugural Miami Grand Prix as championship leader Charles Leclerc starts on pole position at a star-studded track in Florida . Leclerc landed pole on Saturday as Formula One hit Florida and he kept his cool in the searing 33 degree heat, with Carlos Sainz completing an all-Ferrari front row.

Max Verstappen got his title defence back on track following a dominant performance in Imola a fortnight ago and the Red Bull star looked set to start Sunday’s race in the box seat to eat into Leclerc’s 27-point advantage at the top of the standings. But he will now be on the back foot after he made a mistake in his final run, while Lewis Hamilton qualified sixth in his Mercedes.

Sporting stars and celebrities have arrived as Formula One hits Florida, with Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, David Beckham and Serena Williams all in attendance for the eagerly-anticipated race. To make it even more exciting, there have been reports that there could be rain at the Miami International Autodrome - in what looks set to be an unmissable race.

1. Leclerc - 86

2. Verstappen - 59
