F1 2022 will reportedly include supercars as part of new immersive 'hub'

Codemasters’ upcoming racer F1 2022 could include supercars as part of its new ‘hub’ called ‘F1 LIFE’, according to reports.

With the 2022 FIA Formula 1 World Championship about to start, attention is starting to turn away from F1 2021 and what potentially EA and Codemasters have up their sleeves for the series.

While the all-new virtual racing sim has yet to be announced by either the publishers or developers at the time of writing, details are beginning to emerge regarding potential new features and game modes – even with some surprising in-game inclusions!

Codemasters have been producing the F1 games since 2010 and have always been looking for new ways to make the virtual life as a Formula 1 become more immersive than ever.

Some of the changes that Codemasters have allegedly made this year, could be game-changing. According to Xfire, F1 LIFE will allow players more of a feeling of what it’s like as a driver away from the track, with the opportunity to purchase luxury items such as supercars, expensive watches and even designer classes.

The report added that these supercars are not just cosmetic items that will sit in your garage, players will actually be able to drive them around, even compete online against other players’ supercars on the 23 tracks that feature on the World Championship calendar.

This could potentially take the F1 gaming series to the next level as far as immersive gameplay is concerned. However, this is to the sacrifice of their more conventional ‘story mode’, which mean no more Devon Butler for the time being!
