Ex-Boots employee shares hack to get £50 worth of No7 makeup for under £16

Having worked at Boots for four and a half years, I quickly learned the best ways to maximise discounts, stack deals and squeeze the most out of my Sunday wages. Now I’m a journalist and no longer reap the benefits of staff discount, I have to be even savvier to snap up savings.

But this week I discovered a way to snap up more than £50 worth of makeup for under £16 - and you can bag the offer for yourself, too. So if you love No7 makeup, listen up.

Each summer, Boots launch a voucher for money off No7 makeup and skincare products. Previously, it was £3 off makeup or £5 off skincare with no minimum spend. When I worked at the retailer, the lucrative offer meant that I could get my favourite face wipes for 82p with staff discount, instead of £7.50.

This year, the voucher is slightly different. The deal entitles shoppers to £ 10 off when they spend £20 on No7, which can be used on skincare, cosmetics, men’s products, indulgent bodycare, sun and self tan products.

There are some exclusions to the offer, including the Laboratories LED mask and gift sets, as well as reduced lines.

To obtain a voucher, shoppers must spend £4 at the checkout, so it’s perfect if you were already planning to pick up some holiday essentials.

So far, we’re off to a great start, as you can pick up £20 worth of No7 products and get them for just a tenner. However, to really make the most of the deal, you’ll want to pick up two products, making sure that they’re makeup and not skincare. Why? Because you can then snap up the free gift with purchase.
