Everything Danny McGuire said after Hull KR's defeat to Wakefield Trinity

I didn't think we were great with the ball. I thought offensively we were scratchy. We didn't challenge them enough. Defensively we were good, they scored two tries off kicks and a finish right in the corner. If you're going to concede a try, I don't know if he grounded it, it looked like to me he hit the corner flag but he's a good finisher the kid to be fair.

We had a few issues again with Mikey going off and Jimmy getting sin-binned. But I thought we kind of weathered that. Until Mikey went off I thought we were in control of the game. I don't think we were good with the ball but had a good grip of the game. Then they scored, Kershaw in the corner, that was a soft try, we had some good inside pressure and could have handled that.

I'm disappointed because you want to win, we're all here to win, we train and do everything in the week to win. The lads work hard but the ultimate is getting the performance at the weekend and when you don't it hurts. They're down in there and they've got to pick themselves up and do it again on Monday which is crazy.

Did they just put too much on their goal-line defence?

I think so. They had a lot of the ball, I'm not sure of the territory but my neck is aching from looking up that end of the field. We withstood a lot of that and showed so much guts to keep them out. The first try should have been a penalty to us before that but I won't get into that, then the winger scores in the corner. I think covering up for a man down for that ten minutes took its toll a little bit.

We didn't play good with the ball. We've one half that's not a recognised fullback, so there's reasoning why we're probably not in sync
