Everton vs Man City: Prediction, kick off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h - Premier League preview

Manchester City travel to Everton on Saturday looking to reinstate their advantage in the Premier League title race.

Many had dismissed the battle for top spot as a done deal only weeks ago, yet Liverpool have reined in the defending champions amid dropped points against Tottenham and Southampton.

Everton are next on Pep Guardiola’s agenda with Frank Lampard facing a relegation battle at his new club. A 2-0 defeat to Southampton last time out left them looking over their shoulder, with only one win in three in the league under the recently-appointed manager.

Lampard said after the St Mary’s defeat: “It’s about belief – and the players need to feel that themselves. There will be times you’re up against it and, as a group, we need to feel belief.”

Everton vs Man City is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, February 26, 2022.

Goodison Park in Liverpool will host the match.

TV channel: The match will be televised on Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event, with coverage beginning at 5.30pm.

Live stream: Sky Sport subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the Sky Go app.

Yerry Mina, Ben Godfrey, Tom Davies and Fabian Delph all face a few more weeks on the sidelines due to muscle problems. But Everton hope to have Abdoulaye Doucoure and Demarai Gray back for this match.

Pep Guardiola is waiting on news of Jack Grealish (shin) and Gabriel Jesus (muscle) but has an otherwise fully-fit squad.

Both managers will provide updates on their team’s fitness when addressing the media later this week.

Fortress Goodison has proven to be Frank Lampard’s great hope in the early weeks of his tenure, whereas City have shown some signs of creakiness. Still, it is hard to look past the league leaders in this one.
