Everton transfer news: Frank Lampard targets swoop for Brennan Johnson to fix his biggest issue

Everton are keen on winger Brennan Johnson and will make a move if Nottingham Forest fail to win promotion to the Premier League on Sunday.

Frank Lampard is looking to bolster his attacking options after just escaping the drop to the Championship. Goals were an issue for him with Richarlison topping the charts with just 11 and Johnson is a target. Indeed the Daily Mail say a swoop is on the cards.

Leeds United have also been linked and could resurrect their interest. If Forest stay down and Johnson becomes available the queue of interested clubs is sure to grow.

Forest value the player at £20million and there will be no shortage of clubs willing to pay it.

Johnson looks destined to be a star of the future and could thrive even more with Everton. Lampard would be confident of taking his game to another level. And the chance to work with the former Chelsea star would no doubt appeal to Johnson as well.
