Everton's Jordan Pickford reportedly 'caught up in pub brawl' after being mocked about his arms

Jordan Pickford was caught up in a pub brawl after being mocked about his arms, according to The Sun.

It’s claimed that a fracas broke out in East Boldon, South Tyneside, at 9pm on Sunday when “revellers mocked that he had short ‘T-Rex arms'”.

One male was reportedly left with a broken nose and another with a smashed mobile phone, culminating in police rushing to the scene.

However, Pickford, 27, as well as his friends – who were said to be ‘furious’ about the episode – had already departed by the time that the police arrived.

A witness reportedly said: “He was getting goaded, like they do. All I heard was ‘little arms’ and then that’s it. It kicked off. It happened as soon as they walked in.

“They hadn’t even had time to get a drink. One lad suffered a broken nose. Pickford wasn’t hurt at all. He was out of the door as soon as it kicked off. Pickford’s group left by minibus before the police came.”

The witness is said to have added that a man who was filming the incident had his phone ‘smashed’ by a member of Pickford’s group.

Police are currently investigating and looking for witnesses. No arrests have been made on the back of the incident.

There is said to be no suggestion that Pickford assaulted anyone.

The Sun quote a Northumbria Police spokesman as saying: “We received a report of a disturbance at the Beggar’s Bridge pub.

“It was reported that a fight broke out between two groups of males inside the premises. An investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.”

Everton declined to comment when approached by the newspaper.

The incident comes just a few days after a Newcastle United fan dressed up as a Tyrannosaurus Rex during Everton’s trip to St. James’ Park in order to poke fun at
