Everton officials now watch 6 ft 3 'monster' for 2nd time ahead of potential summer move

Everton officials have reportedly now watched Kim Min-Jae for the second time this season ahead of a potential move in the summer.

Kim has grown a big reputation in Asian football, as the South Korea international has been nicknamed ‘the Monster‘ for his six-foot-three frame and ability to dominate physically and in the air.

A few teams from the Premier League and abroad tried to sign the central defender from the Chinese Super League back in 2020, but it was Turkish giants Fenerbahce that managed to land his signature last summer.

As per Turkish outlet Fanatik, officials from Goodison Park watched Kim play for the second time this season, when Fenerbahce beat arch-rivals Galatasaray 2-0 on Sunday evening.

They submitted a ‘positive report’ for him at the end of the game, suggesting that they could make their move this summer.

The Merseyside club could do with a player to help shore up their leaky defence, and Kim would certainly be a good fit.

The Blues scouts would have liked what they saw from him on Sunday, as he recorded eight clearances, two blocked shots and five accurate long balls, while the 25-year-old also made two interceptions and had a controlled 86 touches of the ball in total (SofaScore).

His reputation suggests that he could be the dominant centre-back that Frank Lampard needs, in order to make sure that his team are not fighting for relegation again next season.
