Everton 'looking at' signing £25m Premier League star at Goodison Park

Everton are interested in signing Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis this summer, according to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs when speaking to GiveMeSport earlier this week.

Frank Lampard has seen Richarlison, his top scorer from last season, leave for Tottenham and is therefore in the market for a replacement.

According to The Athletic, Everton are interested in signing Dennis, with the report stating that the Nigerian striker and Armando Broja are two of the likeliest candidates to replace Richarlison.

Despite avoiding relegation, the Brazilian opted to take his career to the next level and join Spurs last month, with the move giving him the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

But Watford weren’t unable to beat the drop, meaning Dennis, along with Ismaila Sarr, want to leave Vicarage Road.

The club’s sporting director Cristiano Giaretta said: “They would like to leave and have been looking at potential moves, but they are not causing us any problems. They are not banging on our door to get away as soon as they can.”

And while Jacobs said the Toffees are yet to officially launch an offer for Dennis, the striker could be available for £25m.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Everton are also looking at Dennis as well. Neither club has made a formal bid yet. Watford are hoping for £25m with Newcastle valuing Dennis a bit lower.”

Prior to Dennis’ move to Watford, he had questionable spells in Ukraine and Belgium and was not the profile of player that would excite Everton fans.

His potential arrival still might not get the Goodison Park off their feet, but his exploits last season make the links slightly more understandable.

Despite Watford suffering relegation back to the Championship, the 24-year-old still scored 10 top-flight goals
