Euro transfer round up: Real Madrid eye Brazilian starlet and Barca 'adopt Kounde plan'

The European transfer market has sparked into life by the major transfers of Matthijs de Ligt and Robert Lewandowski.

Netherlands defender De Ligt has moved from Juventus to Bayern Munich on a five-year contract in a deal worth £65.6m. Barcelona have signed Poland striker Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich on a four-year contract worth £42.6m.

He has joined his new team-mates in Miami as part of Barcelona's four-match tour of the United States. And now Mirror.co.uk takes a look at other potential big deals which could happen on the continent this summer.

Barca are expected to switch their transfer focus after signing attacking target Robert Lewandowski.

Chelsea target Jules Kounde is high on the wish-list of manager Xavi Hernandez, who is intent on bolstering his defence further despite the addition of Andreas Christensen.

Sevilla’s €60 million price tag has been a major roadblock as Barça’s attempts to offer a player in exchange have also not yielded results yet. But according to journalist Gerard Romero, Sevilla could be open to accepting a player-plus-cash arrangement for Kounde, which would see Barcelona sign the French international for a fee in the range of €35-40 million.

Real Madrid will reportedly look to sign 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Matheus Nascimento on a free transfer in the 2023 summer transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid might not launch the offensive for Nascimento in the summer transfer window this year. The Spanish giants will instead aim to secure the services of the Brazilian prodigy next year when he might leave Botafogo as a free agent.
