Euro round-up: Harry Kane spot on as Atalanta miss chance to go top

Harry Kane struck from the spot as Bayern Munich edged four points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after a hard-fought 1-0 win at Borussia Monchengladbach.

The England captain converted a 68th-minute penalty – his 21st goal of the season – at Borussia-Park after Michael Olise had been tripped to hand Bayern the points on their return from the winter break.

Omar Marmoush's first-half goal was enough to hand third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt a 1-0 win at St Pauli, while Mohammed Amoura headed Wolfsburg to victory at Hoffenheim by the same scoreline.

Arnaud Kalimuendo fired the hosts into a 43rd-minute lead, but Greenwood struck on the stroke of half-time and Rabiot four minutes after the restart to claim the points.

Evann Guessand and Laborde’s penalty after Junya Ito had levelled sent the visitors in ahead at the break, and the striker claimed his second before Mamadou Diakhon reduced the deficit, only for Ali Abdi to cement the victory.

Mahdi Camara and Ludovic Ajorque earned Brest a 2-1 win over
