Euro 2024 LIVE: England vs Spain team news, Southgate job latest, bank holiday decision

The countdown to the 2024 European Championship final is on as England look to create history by beating Spain on Sunday.

The Three Lions will contest their first ever major final on foreign soil as they bid to lift the Euros trophy for the first time ever - with the Manchester Evening News covering the action all the way to Berlin.

Gareth Southgate’s side secured their place in the Euros showpiece courtesy of Ollie Watkins’ late strike against the Netherlands on Wednesday, while Spain beat France the previous night.

Tens of thousands of England fans are expected to flock to Germany in the hope that the likes of Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham can end 58 years of hurt.

But Spain will pose the toughest test England have faced so far, with Luis de la Fuente’s side undoubtedly having been the best team in the tournament.

The final kicks off at 8pm at the Olympiastadion on Sunday and we’ll have all the latest build-up to what promises to be an unforgettable occasion. Stay tuned for the latest Euro 2024 news below:
