Euro 2022: England's Ellen White overwhelmed by crowd support after Sweden win
England fans will still be reliving the glorious scenes at Bramall Lane last night as the Lionesses booked a place in the Euro 2022 final.
Beth Mead, Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo and Fran Kirby were on the scoresheet as England secured a stunning 4-0 victory over Sweden.
A crowd of 28,624 were in attendance to witness the spectacle, creating a brilliant atmosphere before, during and after the match.
The players soaked up the atmosphere after the final whistle went, running over to one corner of the ground to sing ‘Sweet Caroline’ with the crowd.
Ellen White was one of the first over, and she looked utterly overwhelmed at the sheer adoration radiating from the stands.
In one clip, the Manchester City striker was captured with her hands on her head in disbelief, before joining in with the song.
In fairness, White, who is the Lionesses’ all-time top goalscorer, had good reason to be ecstatic.
