Euro 2022: Emma Hayes gives emotional interview after England win title

Chelsea Women manager Emma Hayes gave an emotional interview on ESPN after England won Euro 2022.

It was a euphoric day for England fans as they watched their side defeat Germany 2-1 at Wembley, clinching the country’s first major title since the World Cup in 1966.

Manchester United star Ella Toone scored the opener in the 62nd minute, but her brilliant goal was cancelled out by Lina Magull’s equaliser.

Chloe Kelly, who only returned to football three months ago after recovering from an ACL injury, then scored the winner for England in extra-time.

The celebrations began for the Lionesses as soon as the final whistle went, with an ecstatic Wembley crowd of 87,192 partying in the stands.

The emotions were bubbling to the surface, with respected figures such as Ian Wright and Alex Scott delivering moving speeches, and Hayes was one of many to find herself in tears.

Having worked as a pundit for ESPN during Euro 2022, Hayes was shown standing on the pitch in front of the celebrating players.
