Erling Haaland Has Been Watching Premier League Striker To Learn From Him

Erling Haaland has revealed that he watches one Premier League striker, who is the best in the world at one specific part of the game, in order to improve.

Whilst his pace, strength and finishing has made him an extremely potent forward, he is still extremely and there's plenty of room for improvement from the 21-year-old, which is pretty scary considering he's scored 56 times in 57 Bundesliga appearances.

And Haaland has revealed that he often watches Jamie Vardy, because the Leicester City strike is the 'best in the world' at running behind centre backs.

"I've been, not studying, but watching a lot of players," Haaland told Sky Sports.

"Let's take an example: the running in behind the centre-back when the No10 has the ball.

"You maybe have the best in the world at that in Jamie Vardy, I've been looking a lot at him on exactly this.

"That's how I am, I've always been watching a lot of football. I still do.

"When we play on Saturday, I go home and on Sunday I watch football all day. I've always liked football a lot."

His ability to run in behind defenders was extremely important to the title winning side, and defenders have often been unable to handle his movement.

The former Red Bull Salzburg striker is clearly happy to work on his game to become even better, "I think I can improve on everything," he added.

"If you say I am good at finishing, I can improve my finishing a lot. I can become faster, so I can improve that. I can become stronger, so I can improve that.

"...If you were to ask what my goals are for 2022, it is to not be injured, and the goals for the rest of my career are not to be injured. That's the main thing."
