Erling Haaland bags first-half Man City hat-trick vs Nottingham Forest
Erling Haaland’s blistering start to life in the Premier League continued apace on Wednesday night as he put Nottingham Forest to the sword.
The Manchester City star, fresh from his first hat-trick on English shores, picked up right where he left off as he continued to make a mockery of the English top-flight.
Any lingering doubts that may have been clinging on from that Community Shield performance have been well and truly banished now.
It took the Norwegian just 12 minutes to add to his already brilliant tally of goals as he poked home at the near post, showing remarkable strength to hold off the defender at his back.
Only minutes later, he showed his uncanny knack for finding himself in the right place at the right time as he was able to pounce on a loose ball in the box to stroke home one of the easiest strikes of his career.
Then, perhaps in painfully predictable fashion, Haaland would make it three before the half-time whistle had even sung.
For the rest of the league, Haaland’s sublime form will serve as an ominous warning.
It's that man Haaland again! The 22-year old taps it in from Phil Foden's cross.
