Ten Hag's message to Mount after signing
Erik ten Hag has told Mason Mount he wants him to become a 'very important player' for Manchester United after signing the midfielder to his squad.
The 24-year-old England international has been officially confirmed as a United player after weeks of pursuit involving the Old Trafford club and Chelsea.
Ultimately, the London club accepted an initial £55m offer from United, with £5m in add-ons to follow should performance-related goals be achieved.

Mount was Ten Hag's top target to reinforce the central midfield area of the squad. The Dutchman has now got his man and Mount has become United's first signing this summer ahead of the 2023/24 season.
And at his unveiling where he posed for pictures for the club, Ten Hag told Mount that he wants the midfielder to become a key cog in his team going forwards. The England international showed a willingness to get out on the pitch as soon as possible to do just that.
