Erik ten Hag reveals one thing at Man Utd he misses most as he sets out managerial return timeline
Former Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has ruled out a managerial comeback until the summer.
The Dutchman has been taking a break from football since losing his job at Old Trafford in October 2024 - just months after he penned a new contract. Ten Hag was axed after a catastrophic start to the season and left the fallen English giants 14th in the table. Ruben Amorim replaced him in the hotseat but results have only gone from bad to worse, with the Red Devils in danger of being dragged into a relegation scrap.
Ten Hag has gone off the radar in recent months after a difficult two years in charge. However, the ex-Ajax boss is set to have speak out for the first time since his sacking in an upcoming interview for SEG Stories. And in a promo clip posted on social media, the FA Cup and Carabao Cup-winning boss addresses his plans for the future and what he misses most at United.
In a short video, he says: "I had already decided for myself, okay, I'm not doing anything until the first of July." He then adds:"If there's one thing I miss, it's Old Trafford. You're always working towards a dot on the horizon, but you never get to the horizon. We've had many highs, there is always room for improvement and good is not enough. You can do better."
