Erik ten Hag may not need new signings in one key area for Man United to challenge rivals

Wingers will always catch the eye. It's arguably the most exciting and threatening position in a football team; operating in those areas of unpredictability, where freedom exists and risks are taken along with responsibility. So much comes from the wide positions; the art of one-on-one battles over the course of 90 minutes - those players constantly looked for by others, in search of a spark.

Marcus Rashford has been deployed across the front line for United this season and had great success off the left at times, but there is still the sense of United needing more. And, while signings will be vital this coming transfer window, those already around should back themselves to make a greater contribution.
