Erik ten Hag Manchester United press conference LIVE Brentford vs Man Utd team news

Erik ten Hag will speak to the press on Friday afternoon as he previews Manchester United's trip to face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

United travel to West London in search of three points and a much improved performance as they look to put things right after their disappointing opening weekend defeat to Brighton last time out.

Brentford are winless in six top-flight meetings with United (D1 L5) since beating them twice in the 1936-37 season, and Ten Hag's side haven’t started a season with two consecutive defeats since the inaugural Premier League campaign back in 1992-93.

The United manager is expected to give early team news ahead of the match, including an update on Anthony Martial. He could also be asked about Paris Saint-Germain's interest in Marcus Rashford and his own side's transfer business.

Erik ten Hag will no doubt issue a team news update ahead of the trip to face Brentford this weekend.

Anthony Martial missed the opener against Brighton while Cristiano Ronaldo was only deemed fit enough for the bench.

Victor Lindelof also missed the game last weekend and Raphael Varane, who has been undergoing an individual training programme, made the bench against the Seagulls.

It would be no surprise if Erik ten Hag is asked about Marcus Rashford this afternoon, amid Paris Saint-Germain's interest in the forward.

United are not entertaining the prospect of selling Rashford despite the interest, though the player's brother and representative met PSG officials in Paris last week and the Ligue 1 champions are long-time admirers of the England international.
