Erik ten Hag has fixed problem that Ralf Rangnick identified at Manchester United

Erik ten Hag will have to wait a little longer to face Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

United would have been looking to make it five league wins in a row on Sunday afternoon, before their plans to travel Selhurst Park were put on hold.

Following the news of The Queen's death, the Premier League released a statement, which read: "At a meeting this morning, Premier League clubs paid tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

"To honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation, and as a mark of respect, this weekend’s Premier League match round will be postponed, including Monday evening’s game."

Ten Hag's side claimed their fourth successive league victory at Old Trafford last weekend as they beat league leaders Arsenal 3-1, thanks to a debut goal from Antony and two second-half strikes from Marcus Rashford.

Sunday's game against Palace will of course be re-scheduled, yet the original timing of the fixture after Ten Hag's recent domestic success is uncanny.

The last time these two sides met was on the final day of last season, where Ralf Rangnick bid farewell to the club during his last game in charge. Ten Hag was in the stands for that match, where a first-half Wilfried Zaha goal saw the Eagles win 1-0.

Speaking after the game, United's former interim manager identified what he saw as a key problem that the Dutchman had to address going forward.
