Erik ten Hag is expected to stay in his role as first-team manager, but he will still need to prove his worth to the new investor and show why he is still the right man for the job.
The general consensus is that United are on the right track under Ten Hag, even if there have been plenty of hiccups along the way. They won a trophy and qualified for the Champions League last season, while the manager also established his authority by making strong calls on a number of key players.
