Erewash local council elections 2023 results in full

Voters in Erewash, Derbyshire, have had their say in the 2023 local elections.

Erewash Borough Council is made up of 47 elected councillors representing 19 wards, with elections taking place every four years.

Two councillors will be elected in each of the following wards: Awsworth Road, Cotmanhay, Hallam Fields, Little Eaton & Stanley, Little Hallam, Shipley View, Breaston, Derby Road East, Draycott & Risley and Nottingham Road. Three councillors will be elected in Kirk Hallam & Stanton-by-Dale, Larklands, West Hallam & Dale Abbey, Derby Road West, Long Eaton Central, Ockbrook & Borrowash, Sandiacre, Sawley and Wilsthorpe.

Ahead of the election, Erewash Borough Council was run by the Conservative Party.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK. Mayoral elections are also taking place in Bedford, Leicester, Mansfield and Middlesborough.

Voters were only electing their local councillors in this election with the next General Election not scheduled until 28 January 2025 at the very latest.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 4, with the Erewash count taking place on Friday.
