Enyimba versus Niger Tornadoes is pick of Aiteo Cup round of 32 clashes

Record title holders, Enyimba of Aba, have been drawn against Niger Tornadoes in a mouth-watering round of 32 games of the 2022 Aiteo Cup.

The former African champions barely managed to beat Ijebu United via a penalty shoot-out to qualify for the round of 32, while Niger Tornadoes edged out Dreams FC 2-1. The match will hold in Ijebu Ode tomorrow.

Defending champions, Bayelsa United will play against Green Beret of Enugu, Doma United will meet Lobi Stars in Jos, while Bendel Insurance Feeders will battle with Akure City Academy in Nnewi.

Another tantalizing encounter will feature Enugu Rangers against Heartland in Benin City, while Aba will host the battle between Sunshine Stars and Calabar Rovers.

Cynosure FC will meet Katsina United in Makurdi, Remo Stars will be up against Akwa United in Enugu, Kogi United and Kanta United will trade tackles in Minna, just as DMD FC will shoot it out with Housing Corporation in Abuja.

It is a battle of two northern neighbours in Kaduna where Zamfara United will be up against fallen giants, Kano Pillars, just as Fulfill FC will try to upset El-Kanemi Warriors in Gombe.

Kwara United and Wikki Tourists will fight for a round of 16 tickets in Abuja, 1978 champions, Bendel Insurance, are up against giant-killing Otasolo, which sent off Abia Warriors in the previous round, in Ilorin, with Sokoto United billed to take on Nasarawa United in Kaduna.

Dakkada FC has already qualified for the Round of 16.
