ENG vs IRE, One-Off Test, Day 2 Live Updates: England will resume Day 2 on 152-1 in reply to Ireland's 172 all out at stumps in the ongoing four-day one-off Test at the Lord's. Earlier, England veteran Stuart Broad took his first five-wicket haul in a Test at Lord's for 10 years. Broad reduced Ireland to 19-3, the seamer inflicting ducks on both Ireland captain Andy Balbirnie and Harry Tector. Day 1 ended as expected, total dominance from the hosts and they are well, well ahead in this game already! First it was Broad's brilliance which saw Ireland being bundled out for a low score and then the top three scored freely to bring down the deficit to just 20. England now are expected to bat for as long as possible, Day 2 is know as the best day to bat and they wuold want to cash in. Ireland will need wickets in heaps if they are to get back into the game. A day totally dominated by the hosts! First, after electing to bowl, they bundled out Ireland for a low score. Broad was the star with a fifer but all the bowlers played their part. Then, their openers came out all guns blazing. They managed to score freely and both the openers aded fifties and the two added 100. Zak Crawley fell but Pope has looked solid after and he along with Ben Duckett are amidst another good stand. England just trail by another 20 and they will hope they can knock those many runs off without a wicket falling. Their aim will be to bat really long.
