England vs Barbarians live stream: How to watch rugby on TV and online in UK today

England’s uncapped hopefuls and fringe contenders will hope to impress Eddie Jones as the Barbarians visit Twickenham this afternoon.

The non-cap contest is the last chance to earn a seat on the plane for this summer’s three-Test tour of Australia, with Jones due to name his squad on Monday.

Danny Care is poised to play international rugby for the first time since 2018 off the bench after being handed a shock England recall, while there are also first appearances for the likes of Northampton full-back Tommy Freeman and Harlequins hooker Jack Walker, with Will Goodrick-Clarke, Patrick Schickerling and Orlando Bailey also ready for their first caps.

England are without key players such as Manu Tuilagi and Henry Slade due to injury as they look to sign off for Australia on a positive note after another hugely underwhelming Six Nations campaign, with Saracens and Leicester players also absent after Saturday’s tense Premiership final, which the Tigers won 15-12.

The Barbarians are coached by Fabien Galthie and captained by Charles Ollivon, with France and Top 14-based players unsurprisingly dominating their invitational squad.

Sunday will be an emotional occasion for former England lock George Kruis, who faces the country for whom he won 45 senior caps in his last outing as a professional rugby player.
