Emmerdale spoilers hint character could leave ITV soap after 12 years

Emmerdale fans have been warned to brace themselves to say farewell to a well-known character. A shock exit has been hinted at in the spoilers for the next couple of weeks in the ITV show.

Sources say that after 12 years, a life-changing decision next week could well seal the fate of this character. It follows a taxing time for him and his family.

Avid viewers will know that recently, Dan Spencer landed himself in serious trouble with the law. His daughter Amelia was being harassed by a subscriber of her online social media platform, where she posted tutorial videos to followers for money.

A man named Lloyd tracked her down and demanded time alone with her, and as he continued to harass her Dan stepped in. But things took a terrible turn when he punched Lloyd, and caused a serious head injury.

Lloyd remains in a coma and it's not known for sure if he will wake up, after plans to bring him out of the coma are halted. Lloyd's wife Julie doesn't believe Dan or Amelia about their claims about her husband, and so she continues to seek revenge on the father and daughter, reports MirrorOnline.

Dan has been arrested and charged. But he was recently warned that if Lloyd dies he could be facing a more serious charge and a prison sentence.

Next week, spoilers reveal Amelia goes to desperate lengths to help her dad fearing she will lose him. Later in the week, Dan heads to court where he must enter his plea.
