Emmerdale's Ruby star shares family's concern as hit and run twist confirmed

Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly has told how her family were concerned about her when she first joined the show as her character is set to face more drama in the ITV soap as part of a hit-and-run twist.

The actress made her first appearance in the Dales at the start of the year as Ruby Fox-Milligan, the wife of Caleb Milligan and mother to their son Nicky after the father and son duo arrived has already arrived in the fictional Yorkshire village back in 2022 in a ploy to try and fleece Kim Tate of Home Farm, which Caleb believed to be his birthright as he was revealed to be the son of Kim's ex Frank Tate and the late Dingle matriarch Faith Dingle.

But Ruby's arrival quickly ruffled feathers - particularly among the Dingles after she got a of the green-eyed monster when exposing her husband's affair with his nephew's wife Tracy Robinson.

However, Ruby and Caleb are now sharing joint concern and a need for revenge after Nicky was left for dead by Ethan Anderson following a car crash. In Emmerdale scenes aired last week, Nikcy was drowning his sorrows after a row with his dad when his boyfriend Suni called and needed his help.

Ethan, who had joined him, offered to drive as he'd drunk less than Nicky but as they sped to get to Suni, they were involved in an accident. And while it seemed Ethan was going to help an unconscious Nicky after pulling him from the car, he ended up running away with a passing Moira Dingle finding the wreckage.
