Emmerdale's April Windsor star issued sweet tribute by 'TV brother' amid special day
Emmerdale star Amelia Flanagan has been paid a sweet tribute by her 'TV brother' as she marked a special occasion. The young actress is best known to viewers for having grown up on screens playing April Windsor in the ITV soap.
She is the daughter of Marlon Dingle and the late Donna Windsor and soap fans first saw Amelia in the role of the youngster back in 2014 when she was only six years old. She is regularly praised for her performance in Emmerdale and has plenty of awards to her name already, winning Best Young Actor at the Inside Soap Awards for three years in a row and was awarded The British Soap Awards' Best Young Performance gong in 2015.
Now, on Thursday (June 6), her parents revealed it was a big day for the soap star as it was her 16th birthday. They took to their family Instagram page and shared a string of images of Amelia as a baby to now.

Captioning the post, they wrote: "Happy 16th birthday to the one that made us a family. What can I say Amelia Grace you continue to make us smile every day and the world really is your oyster now. Enjoy your day sweetheart, All our Love Mum and Dad."
Emmerdale co-star Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, was among those to respond to the post, writing: "Happy 16th birthday beautiful girl! Can’t wait to see you soon," while Cathy Hope actress Gabriella Dowling added: "Happy 16th birthday Amelia."
Amelia's on-screen brother Harvey Rogerson, who plays the Dales' Leo Goskirk, also took to his own Instagram page, monitored by his parents, with a string of sweet images of the pair
