Emmerdale finally confirms identity of Caleb's wife and Nicky's mum - and it's not who viewers thought

Emmerdale has officially confirmed the identity of Caleb Milligan's wife and Nicky's mum - and it's not who viewers thought it could be. Speculation over who the mystery woman could be has been mounting ever since fans discovered more about why Caleb really arrived in the village.

Caleb, played by Will Ash, arrived in the ITV soap last Christmas, visiting his long-lost half-brother Cain Dingle in prison. He soon stuck his nose into the family's business, helping Cain and his son Kyle walk free following the accidental killing of Al Chapman.

But Emmerdale fans continued to be suspicious of Caleb and it was soon revealed that Nicky, who was then Home Farm's new nanny, was his son and that he had an elaborate plan to bring down Kim Tate and get his hands on what he considered was his birthright as the late Franke Tate's son.

After that plan blew up in his face, Caleb has since settled himself in with the Dingle family but unbeknownst to them, he has embarked on an affair with his nephew Nate Robinson's wife, Tracy. And his life is set to be rocked in the New Year when his wife arrives in the village.

It has been revealed that actress Beth Cordingly has joined the cast of Emmerdale playing Ruby Fox-Milligan and is due to make her debut on screen in January. Caleb's wife and mother to Nicky, played by Lewis Cope, Ruby is fiery, confident, unpredictable and a fiercely devoted mum.
