Emmerdale fans think 'harmless' villager is mastermind behind Will Taylor blackmail

Emmerdale enthusiasts are certain they've figured out the identity of Will Taylor's blackmailer on the popular ITV series, and it's an unexpected suspect.

In the latest instalments, Will, portrayed by Dean Andrews, has been consumed with anxiety as an unknown individual initiated a blackmailing endeavour against him.

Initially, Will suspected his former spouse Rose Jackson (played by Christine Tremarco) was orchestrating a devious plot after their recent disagreement.

However, when he attempted to return the call from the enigmatic number, he deduced that she couldn't be responsible.

The extortionist has since demanded £10,000 from Will, prompting him to sell his valuable watch to raise the funds.

The sole confidant in Will's predicament is his business associate Jimmy King (Nick Miles), reports the Express.

Regular viewers of the ITV drama are aware that Jimmy is experiencing financial woes and has even contemplated selling his stake in the transport company.

Amidst Jimmy's monetary struggles, some Emmerdale fans are persuaded that he is the brains behind the scheme to extort Will.

On a Facebook group devoted to the soap, one viewer speculated: "I think Jimmy is blackmailing Will", while another concurred: "I've said him."

A third added: "I think its Jimmy", as another simply added: "True". "Yes, it's him", concluded another.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX
