Emmerdale fans 'convinced' they've worked out Lloyd's wife twist as they scream at TV over Amelia

Emmerdale fans have said they're 'convinced' they know the motive behind Lloyd's wife's latest appearance in the village as Amelia Spencer was stopped from lying to the police.

Earlier this week in the ITV soap, Julie was seen sniffing around the Dales as she tried to gather information about Amelia following her accusations about Lloyd pestering her online before finding where she worked and lived. It came before her dad, Dan, punched Lloyd and left him fighting for his life.

Dan has since been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) after hearing about his run-in with Lloyd's wife, in which he tried to tell her some home truths about her husband, and hearing a threatening message he had sent to Lloyd before punching him.

During her appearance in the village, Julie railed at Amelia before issuing a threat in front of Victoria Sugden. She said: "I'm going to bring you down and I don't care what it takes!" to which Victoria threatened to call the police before Julie eventually stormed off.

But it left Amelia fearing what's to come for her dad and when Sarah suggested a plan, Amelia felt she had no choice but to put in place. Sarah suggested: "You could claim that Lloyd did assault you. It's what he wanted to do." And desperate to keep her dad out of prison, Amelia asked: "What else can I do?", adding: "It's not as if this is a big lie. He's a creep and he deserves everything he gets."
