Emmerdale fans call out 'weird' move after being left in tears over Heath's funeral scenes

Emmerdale fans were left confused following a 'weird' move during Heath Hope's funeral. The teen tragically died over New Year after being involved in a car accident with his twin sister Cathy and their friend Angelica King.

The trio ditched the village on New Year's Eve and stole Wendy Posner's car after the families wouldn't agree to take them into Hotten for a party. Cathy was seen taking the back roads to the destination, much to her brother's annoyance as he told her to go a bit faster as they were already late.

When she didn't seem sure, Heath said he or Angelica could drive instead and the group then weren't seen again until the twins' dad Bob Hope and his partner Wendy Posner, who'd been tipped off by April Windsor that they'd left the village, found the car crashed off of the side of a country road.

Heath tragically died in the accident and Cathy was quickly blamed for her brother's death. However, the teen has been pleading her innocence, claiming Angelica was the one driving at the time of the accident. There were then more emotional scenes during the latest trip to the Dales on Thursday night (January 18) as Heath's funeral took place.

Heartbroken dad Bob was undecided as to whether he could face burying another child and Brenda Walker also fell ill and was unable to attend. Cathy was supported by Brenda's partner Eric Pollard as she tragically walked behind the hearse as it moved through the village with the other villagers joining the procession to the church.
