Emma Raducanu: All 5 tournament-ending injuries recapped after Korea Open exit

Injury woes have once again caused upset for Emma Raducanu after she was forced to withdraw from the semi-final of the Korea Open.

The British number one was looking to reach her first tournament final since the 2021 US Open, but the dream was not to be.

This is the fifth time since making her WTA Tour debut last year that Raducanu has retired from a tournament through injury.

Raducanu retired in the third set of the Korea Open semi-final against Jelena Ostapenko.

The 19-year-old also received treatment from her physio on her lower back during the break between games.

After Ostapenko went 3-0 up in the deciding set, Raducanu called time as she was unable to continue and the Latvian was given a walkover into the final.

During her first Australian Open, Raducanu suffered with blisters on her hands. She did not withdraw from the tournament but the injury played a part in her second round defeat to Danka Kovinić.

Abierto Zapopan 2022

Her first retirement of 2022 came at the Abierto Zapopan in February. The match had gone on for more than three-and-a-half-hours and it was during the deciding set
