Ellen Walshe wins second gold medal in 200m individual medley final

Ellen Walshe has finished in first place in the women's 200 metres individual medley final.

Walshe adds another gold medal after she was crowned European 400 metres individual medley champion earlier this week.

The Templeogue native will also line up in the women's 200 metres butterfly semi-finals just before 7pm.

Mona McSharry moved a step towards a third medal at the championship after coming third in the women's 50 metres breaststroke semi-final.

McSharry won a silver medal in the 100 metres breaststroke final on Wednesday, before she added a bronze medal in the 200 metres breaststroke on Friday.

Daniel Wiffen will be hoping to become the third Irish swimmer to claim a medal in Paris when he goes in the men's 15-hundred metres freestyle at 6:20pm.
