Elkann: Ferrari back competing at the highest level
After two years without a single win on the board, Ferrari chairman John Elkann is celebrating the Scuderia’s successful start to the 2022 season.

The team still managed to finish P3, beating McLaren to the best of the rest spot. They were, however, a massive 290 points down on Constructors’ Champions, Mercedes.
Ferrari’s decision seems to have paid off, at least if the early results in this year’s championship are anything to go by.
Charles Leclerc has bagged two race wins, and a P2, while his team-mate Carlos Sainz has also been on the podium on two occasions.
As such Ferrari are leading both championships.
Leclerc has a 34-point gap to George Russell in the Drivers’ while Ferrari are 39 ahead of Mercedes in the Constructors’ standings.
