Elden Ring: New patch fixes Malenia difficulty

Elden Ring received another patch this week and that update has fixed Malenia, meaning that her boss fight is now just really hard instead of being potentially impossible.

The last update to the game patched in a bug that made Malenia, one of the toughest optional boss fights in the game, all the harder.

All of a sudden, she was capable of self-healing when the player was joined in the fight by a summoned player.

Of course, plenty of players will have made an attempt to bring some help into the fight, especially after ‘Let Me Solo Her’ gained fame within the game’s community for coming into another player’s game and flawlessly beating Malenia.

Now, though, she’s been fixed, and it means that she is no longer an essentially impossible foe, and opening the door to potentially using co-op to get her down.

We posted the full patch notes in another article earlier this week but it’s worth saying that there has also been a fix rolled out for the Elden Beast.

There was a short-lived bug that meant the boss wasn’t working properly under certain circumstances, per Eurogamer, but that has now been fixed as well.

The Elden Beast, of course, is a late game boss that you need to beat, so it’s good to know that this has been fixed, otherwise it was an impassable barrier for players aiming to finish Elden Ring.

Unlike last week’s meaty patch, there are no major balance changes for the game this time around, meaning it should be business as usual if you head into Elden Ring and start swinging your sword!

We’ll keep you updated as and when any new patches come out over the next few months so be sure to keep it tuned to GiveMeSport.
