Elden Ring: A surprising number of people already have game's platinum trophy

Elden Ring is one of the biggest game releases in recent years, with From Software’s latest epic offering players mountains of content to complete.

There is a huge variety of boss fights to be found throughout the Lands Between, while there are also side quests and NPC encounters to be had in the game.

You’re likely looking at over a hundred hours to fully complete the game and do absolutely everything that is required for the Platinum trophy.

To get that trophy, you’re going to need to unlock every other trophy in the game, by beating every boss you can.

The trophies are mainly focused on combat in Elden Ring, as opposed to hunting down a variety of collectables throughout the world.

And that might be why it actually has a remarkably high completion rate when it comes to the game’s platinum trophy.

Per PushSquare, 7.9% of players have already managed to snag the platinum for Elden Ring by becoming the Elden Lord and slaying boss after boss out in the world.

The website has done a comparison with other similar triple-A titles, and it’s an interesting case study in seeing exactly how many gamers have managed not just to get to the end but to do absolutely everything.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a 2.4% completion rate for the platinum; 2018’s God of War has a 4.7% completion; Dark Souls 3 has 5.3% and Bloodborne has 6.5%. Ghost of Tsushima has 13.6%.

One explanation here, perhaps, is the fact that these games have all been out longer so perhaps have a bigger player base, given that the majority of those releases have been knocked down in price since their release.
