Edo Queens battle Mamelodi Sundowns as hostilities resume in Morocco
Group B leaders, Edo Queens, are in for their biggest test yet at the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League when they take on defending champions, Mamelodi Sundowns in their last group game this night.
Edo Queens defeated Central Bank of Ethiopia in their opening game and drew with Egypt’s Masar last time out. But in the final game at the Stade Larbi Saouli, Morocco, this night, the Nigerian ladies must be in their best form to come out of the game unscathed.
Elsewhere, Central Bank of Ethiopia will hope to overturn their two-match losing streak when they take on Masar at Stade El Abdi this evening.
In Group A, South Africa’s University of the Western Cape (UWC) battled with FAR Rabat of Morocco in a mouthwatering clash last night.
Both UWC and Rabat bagged convincing victories last time out, with Rabat occupying top spot in Group A with six points to their name after two matches played.
