Ederson reveals key to Man City’s success as he hails 'phenomenal' Pep Guardiola

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has revealed the reasons behind the club's recent success as he heaped praise on "phenomenal" Pep Guardiola and "extraordinary" Kevin de Bruyne.

Ederson has established himself as one of the Premier League's best goalkeepers since his arrival from Benfica in 2017. Such is his dominance, the City goalkeeper has won the prestigious Golden Glove award for most clean sheets in a season for the last three league campaigns in a row.

The Brazilian shot-stopper is of course aided by those ahead of him and is all too aware of the important role his City teammates play on the pitch. The 29-year-old recently sat down with the club's in-house media as he discussed his development as a player and the secret behind both his own, and the club's success.

Ederson said: “Time flies. I grew a lot in my time at Manchester City, not only as a player, but as a person too. I feel more mature now. Every day is a learning experience. Every day I try to learn something new and develop.

“The recipe is to work hard, help my teammates and help the team. I honestly feel very happy. I feel very fulfilled here in this club that experienced huge growth in the last few years. You can tell from the number of trophies we have won.

“But we are always searching for more, always trying to improve ourselves and working hard every day. The Premier League is a fascinating championship. I know how difficult it is to play in this league, every game is tough, all the games are very intense.
