Eden Hazard outlines plans for next season and admits 'it's not gone well' at Real Madrid

Eden Hazard says he hopes to "turn around" his fortunes and get back to his best after another injury-hit season at Real Madrid.

The Belgium international has made just 23 appearances across all competitions this term, starting just 11 matches in the process. He suffered a broken leg back in January which caused him to miss over three months of action.

This was a similar theme during his first two seasons at Los Blancos, with Hazard scoring just six goals in 66 games since making the £80million move from Chelsea back in January. After recovering from his most recent injury, Hazard admitted he feels 'good' ahead of the Champions League final.

"Do I feel liberated after the operation? The surgery went well. Everything is going well at the moment. I am ready just in time to play a part in the Champions League final," said Hazard.

"I didn't want to go too fast like last time. The coach understood my situation, as did the medical staff. We have worked well. Now I feel really good."

There is no doubt Hazard has a plethora of quality despite his lack of game time in the past three years. The 31-year-old's record at Chelsea was impeccable, scoring over 100 goals in almost 350 appearances. He spearheaded the Blues' push to the Premier League title in 2014/15, before repeating the same feat two seasons later.
